We should be in the process of dying to the old life and living the new life.

Live the new life, don't live the old life.

We are to free to live for God.

So you should consider yourselves dead to sin and able to live for the glory of God through Christ Jesus.

Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to its lustful desires.

"If you love me, obey my commandments.

Don't you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master' You can choose sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God and receive his approval.

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live!

He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.

14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him' And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him' And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them' 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent' That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world -- our faith.

54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." 55 "O Death, where is your sting'O Hades, where is your victory'"56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
